Is There a Crisis in Legal Education?

Plainly. the nation is turning out far more law school graduates than can be absorbed by the profession. At the same time, new law schools are being opened or are on the drawing boards, such as in Shreveport, Louisiana and n Dallas, Texas. At the same time, the ABA is seriously considering accrediting foreign law schools. We have, in recent years not only graduated a significant number of lawyers and an additional number of law students will graduate in the coming years. Are we creating a “lost generation” of lawyers? Is there a law school tuition loan bubble of serious consequence?
